Get Linked Communities

On the 22nd and 23rd of January 2016, eight runners took to the trails to link up communities across Aberdeenshire following trails and forest paths. Setting off from Chapel of Garioch on Friday night, they ran under the stars along the low level paths of Bennachie, through the communities of Oyne, Insch and Duncanstone to Clatt. An overnight break in Clatt, saw them refreshed as they set off again to Rhynie joining the Clashindarroch trails to complete their 36 mile journey in the market town of Huntly. Bennachie forms the heart of this off road route and is pivotal in linking the communities around its foot.
